The Hostelco Awards recognized and rewarded the effort and innovation of professionals in the hotel, catering, mass catering and startup sectors.

The Room Mate Hotels chain won the award for Best Human Resources Management in the Hotel category for its firm commitment to developing young talent and its actions in support of human rights.

Due to its strong strategic commitment to technology for the MICE segment, forward-looking attitude and focus on product differentiation, the NH Hotels Group won the award for New Technologies in the Hotel category. Two outstanding examples are its use of holographs and its smart room system.

For its reinvention not just in its geographical scope but in its business model, taking the leap from a national company to a global player, Sercotel won the award in the Hotel category for its national and international expansion.

The Udon Noodle Bar & Restaurant chain was recognised for its concept of a restaurant for every customer type, with a focus on the customer experience. Exportable and replicable, with a growth model that includes its own premises and franchises, it currently operates in Spain and Andorra with upcoming openings across Europe.

Udon noodle bar & restaurant also won the award for its development and management of human resources. Key factors in this were its organization and employee satisfaction. It also provides training through the Udon University and encourages internal promotions, corporate social responsibility and charitable activities.

Butifarring

The Butifarring restaurant was the winner in this category due to its innovative, fresh and creative business concept, with a focus on excellence in product flavour in pursuit of customer satisfaction.

Efficiency



The company Erke, which supplies equipment for service vehicles, won the award for its efforts and dedication to improving productivity and reducing the risks associated with loading, unloading and transporting all kinds of material.

Sustainability

Dag Style

The company Dag Style, which specialises in the design and production of menus for restaurants, won the sustainability prize at the Hostelco Awards. According to the jury, ‘sustainability is found above all in the tiny details; the menu support could be the first step in influencing all the other processes in the restaurant sector.'

Design



Thanks to its comprehensive design at an operational, functional and maintenance level, based on a colour code – red for alarm, green for efficiency and blue for ready for use – Meiko was presented with the award for best product in the Design category. An intuitive and user-friendly product.

The award for best start-up went to The Hotels Network for filling an evident gap in the hotel sector, backed by tangible results in a very short space of time thanks to its ambitious growth.
