The hotel will be recreated within the framework of Atmosphere, the new space dedicated to the design of environments
HOSTELCO, the International Restaurant, Hotel and Community Equipment Show, has already announced the names of the design and interior design studios that will carry out the projects and the creation of the different environments of ‘HOSTELCO Live Hotel’, the complete recreation of a perfectly equipped hotel that will be set up in the framework of Atmosphere, the space that HOSTELCO will dedicate to interior design. The Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation and its Hotel Technology Institute, CEHAT – ITH, the Oss Fitness brand and the design studios DyD Interiorismo, Estudio Contract, Carmela Martí, Egue y Seta, Cuesta Studio and Ingenia Studio will carry out the execution of the different rooms of the establishment.
Following the selection made by a jury of experts from among the 22 entities and interior design studios that submitted their applications, HOSTELCO now has the names of the authors of the different rooms in the complete reconstruction of a hotel, called ‘HOSTELCO Live Hotel’, which will be the focus of attention of Atmosphere, the new area of the show dedicated exclusively to the creation of atmospheres and interior design of hotel establishments, restaurants, cafés and other spaces in the Horeca channel.
The Spanish Confederation of Hotels and Tourist Accommodation and its Hotel Technology Institute, CEHAT – ITH, will be responsible for designing the reception area and a suite that will include a wellness centre and will present the latest technological solutions applied to the hotel industry. At the same time, the company Oss Fitness will design and fit out a perfectly equipped gymnasium.
DyD Interiorismo will create a suite that combines luxury with the colours, light and aromas of the Mediterranean, while Estudio Contract will create the Smart-Junior Suite, an open, multipurpose space designed to facilitate the application of the latest technologies and communication systems.
For her part, the interior designer Carmela Martí will propose an ecological room made with sustainable materials that will reproduce the ecosystem of the marshes, while the Egue y Seta studio will present its version of the ‘Happyndie’, a mixture of Japanese and Nordic styles, with a touch of colour. Cuesta Studio will sign the project for the Poleo Room, while Ingenia Studio will propose Meetingreen, a meeting room that will recreate an atmosphere of ‘total immersion’ in nature through the use of natural materials, ambient sounds and virtual images.
Atmosphere, the new space dedicated to interior design
In addition to hosting ‘HOSTELCO Live Hotel’, Atmosphere will reproduce a showroom with lighting, textile, decoration, furniture and wellness products, to recreate comfortable environments with personality, and will include two new experimental spaces: HOSTELCO Live Restaurant, with the reproduction of a restaurant in full operation that will change every day, and HOSTELCO Live Arena, a space dedicated to debate that will host presentations by experts from the hospitality industry and the ‘contract’ sector. Among the content presented by CEHAT-ITH, the round table “High Tech – Human Touch” stands out, made up of hotel CEOs and moderated by the president of ITH, Joan Molas, on the evolution of technologies and their relationship with people. The session will be closed by the writer and hotel critics, Fernando Gallardo.
Among the different conferences and speeches, one dedicated to the role of interior design stands out, in which the chefs Mario Sandoval (Restaurante Coque**, Madrid) and JuanLu Fernández (Restaurante Lú Cocina y Alma*, Jerez de la Frontera) will participate. Together with the interior designer Jean Porsche, author of the decoration of both restaurants, they will analyse in the conference “Interior design in restaurants: design or scenography” how the role of the setting has evolved to become one of the strategic factors that mark the success of an establishment.
Another of the various meetings will focus on ‘Delivery – Take Away’ to analyze its rise and discuss the ten keys that will mark the future of this market segment. The conference, organised by the digital publication “Barra de ideas”, will be attended by Patrik Bergareche, Managing Director of Just Eat Spain, among others.
In addition to the Atmosphere space, which will host all of these activities, HOSTELCO will present another 5 exhibition areas that include all of the sectors on offer: Fully Equipped, with hotel and catering equipment and machinery; Setting, dedicated to tableware and service; Moments, with products and equipment related to coffee, pastry, bakery, pizza and ice cream; Tech, with technological products for the hospitality industry; and the newest, most advanced, and most modern technology.
HOSTELCO and Alimentaria add synergies
The next edition of HOSTELCO, which will be held alongside the Alimentaria exhibition from 20 to 23 April 2020 in Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via exhibition centre, will present the latest innovations in machinery and equipment for the world of hospitality, adding synergies with Restaurama, the Alimentaria exhibition which will offer business opportunities to food companies aimed at the Horeca channel, as well as the foodservice divisions of large multinationals. Both shows will cover more than 30,000 m2 and will bring together the offer of more than 800 exhibiting companies, 27% of which are international, and will be visited by 47,500 professionals from the Horeca channel, including more than 1,800 strategic buyers invited from 77 countries.
