The world’s strongest rubbish bag is now also the most sustainable. This is according to waste management and recycling specialist LEANpio. Its Paxxo brand bag, made from 50% recycled plastic, will be one of its featured products at Hostelco 2022. With a material that is three times more resistant than other conventional models, Paxxo claims to have managed to reduce CO2 emissions by 80%. The message is clear: sustainable solutions can be developed even in the most extreme environments.
LEANpio also brings another of the Swedish company’s flagship products to the market. Longopac is a continuous waste bag system up to 160 m in length that facilitates the recycling of waste and radically improves hygiene for the professionals who operate with it. By allowing them to always be removed at 100% capacity, it minimises plastic consumption without the need to come into contact with the soiled area. In addition, the Longopac bag is also available in bioplastic and 100% compostable material.
The Longopac system is certified for use in biodegradable, odour control, food, ESD and sterilisation areas and complies with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. During 2021, the system saved more than 3,500 tonnes of plastics and 21,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide through reduced material consumption and sustainable manufacturing.
